I’m Super Busy! What If I Don’t Have Time To Come In For Appointments?!

We get it, life is busy. Especially so here in the DC Metro Area. We understand that sometimes it’s hard to come into the office all the time. This is why we generally spread out our appointments 6-8 weeks.

But what if you are going out of town for an extended period of time? If you are in clear aligners/Invisalign, we may have a solution for you.

Dental Monitoring

Technology has dramatically affected many aspects of daily life. Many tasks take less time.  And this is something that we decided to start in order to make it easier for our traveling patients do so and stay on track with their treatment.

We will set you up with the special app and check spreaders so you can scan your teeth at home. The app uses artificial intelligence technology to let us know if your aligners are tracking or not. It will also tell you whether you are ready to move on to your next aligner or not. This app allows Dr. Hallman to monitor your treatment more closely than if you were to come in every 6-8 weeks. With this app, we can now give you all of your aligners and monitor your treatment as if we were seeing you every week!

This app/program dramatically reduces the time needed in office, and we will only need to see you for refinements or emergencies! (Check out the program at Dental Monitoring.)

The Final Word

The use of Dental Monitoring does not mean that in-person visits not needed. Even the most carefully planned treatments need to be monitored to ensure that treatment stays on course. Periodic visits let your orthodontist keep an eye on tooth movement and personally evaluate the health of the teeth and gums. In between visits, should you have a problem – if an attachment comes off, or if you misplace an aligner – contact our office and we can help you with the next steps to fix the problem. Treatment can come to a standstill if your braces or aligners are unable to do their jobs.

Our goal is to help you complete treatment on time and with the healthy, beautiful smile you want. It’s a worthwhile team effort – and whether it’s for your child or for yourself, it’s one that will take less time away from your busy life than you might have guessed!
